We are looking for a Children and Family Team Leader to join the team at St Luke’s Watford
Children & Family Ministry Team Leader
St Luke’s Watford, an evangelical Anglican church, is praying for a dynamic, creative, passionate and flexible individual to supplement its leadership team. We strongly value children and their families, and we wish to enhance how we provide for them.
You will be responsible for supporting and developing the spiritual life of children from the early years to age 11, and for engaging and encouraging families through their life issues, and in their walk with Jesus. You will liaise with our Youth Director, particularly in supporting the transition from primary to secondary age groups. You will have a strong Christian faith based on good biblical understanding and hold to the vision and mission of St Luke’s Church.
Part of the role is to enable children and families to grow within and contribute to the wider church family, rooted in gospel teaching. The other part is to consider creatively the links with the wider community, and how we can build bridges from these activities to bring children and their families into deeper relationship with Christ.
This will be a great opportunity for someone who feels called to be involved in innovatively cultivating ministry with children, and expanding work with families, both within and outside the church.
This post will be for 30 hours per week, with a salary of £21,792 with an opportunity for a further 7.5 hours per week administrative support work bringing the post up to full time with a salary of £27,240
