Bible Text: Psalm 150:1-6; John 4:19-26 |

Outline:  The Book of Psalms begins in chapter 1 with a call to the man or woman of God to delight in God’s Word. It ends in Chapter 150 with a call to take delight in the praise of God and this short psalm of only six verses, serves as a primer, answering some basic questions about worship as praise.

  1. Where do we praise God (v1)?
  2. Why do we praise God (v2)?
  3. How do we praise God (vs 3-5)?
  4. Who should praise God (v6)?

In this talk we look at answers to these four questions from Psalm 150 and bring in additional insights from Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4 – especially his emphasis on our heart’s intention to “worship God in Spirit and Truth”.
