Dave Middlebrook continues our brief "My Ways" series considering the phrase often used by God in scripture "Walk in my ways". With a parable based on socks, and testimony from individuals who are members of 'Life Groups' at St Luke's, Dave challenges us to consider how our walk as a disciple of Christ is going. In the tumbling turmoil of life do we often find our faith is shaken off easily, or maybe gets lost during the week, or do we keep it well hidden and only get it out when needed, or is it a bit dull and staid and grey? The challenge for all of us is to keep 'walking in God's ways'. But like Thomas we often cry with "Lord we do not know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" The Psalmist says "Teach me your ways, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth". The truth is that Christ is "the way", and we need to learn from him and reflect upon him, and give him time, if we are to 'walk in his ways'.
The other reading in this service is John 14:1-6.
