Bible Text: Acts 7:1-5, 51-60; Matthew 26:31-35 |

For boldly speaking the truth, Stephen was falsely accused of blaspheming against God, Moses and the temple. It cost him dearly; he paid with his life. He was stoned to death and became the first Christian to pay the ultimate price on account of his faith in God and for proclaiming Jesus as Lord. He was truly a remarkable man and has given us a template for what it means today to daily take up our cross and follow Jesus.
