As we draw towards the end of our sermon series on Exodus we see various themes, that we have seen throughout the book, being drawn together.
God's provision - here we see God providing the workers and materials for building the tabernacles. God is a God who continually provides for his people.
God's commands - here we see God's command about the Sabbath and about the tabernacle. The phrases 'the Lord commanded' and everyone who was willing' are repeated throughout these chapters.
God's presence - God has been present with His people throughout Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy and now Exodus, and the tabernacle is a visible sign of that presence.
These themes of God's provision, God's commands, and God's presence see their ultimate fulfilment in Jesus Christ. Like the people of Israel we're asked to follow 'as the Lord commanded'. Are we 'willing'?
