And we all have shame. We all have our stuff that we work hard to make sure that nobody knows about because we just don’t know how to deal with it. We can’t make our shame right on our own. Our shame can be debilitating, and it leaves us in a mess on the inside, which might mean we ask ‘How can it be put right?’
At a wedding in Cana into this ancient shame culture, Jesus shows us through turning water into wine that He is the answer to such a question. Jesus wants us to allow Him into the areas of our lives we try to hide - He wants to offer us in exchange for our guilt and exchange for our sorrow - the joy of life in Him.
